You can often tell a lot about an artist by the colors they use, as much as the apparent style of their artwork. Irena Andonova's "Son dream" shows an extreme amount of joy and also a love of fluidity, which would lead to water and perhaps power, the power of nature. The subtle yet bold dark lines seem like a frame barely containing the force within itself. Aqua blue's with pale greens(these colors stimulate the mind)giving rise to thoughts of the sea, while mellow yellow comes through,  so very bright. Tones of brown,  like morning coffee on a snowy cold day-perfect. The white color could be seen as energy emanating  out of the creature, like water evaporating in the glow of a powerful light. Irena's brushwork is gentle, passionate and fierce, which in all forms of painting produces a powerful look. The painting exudes a strong sense of masculinity and femininity with the shape of the face, and a softness to the look as a whole. It has a beautiful abstract quality; that in the moment reaction to an action. That point when the mind, eye and hand coordination flows as one. The line work is minimal leaving only color to give a greater sense of detail, form, and its ultimate appeal. Much like its creator when understood, "Son dream" is stunning to behold.
